We write a newsletter every couple of months to keep you up to date with
what’s happening at Fairy Springs. Most
of September was taken up with preparing bulls for Brahman Week.
Many thanks to Birte - our backpacker from Brahman
Week was very solid this year with 930 bulls averaging $6475.
We were pleased with our result of 14 bulls averaging $7357 to a
top of $16000. Look at 2004
sale team for purchases and prices of each bull.
We were pleased that four buyers purchased two bulls each and
some went to past clients. We
strive to present the bulls in good condition but ready to go out to do
their job. Monto
All Breeds sale was held on 11th September with our three herd bulls
averaging $3166. The sale
average was $2861 for 72 bulls. We
will be attending World Brahman Congress in We
feel very fortunate to have received some good rain from storms in the
last week. Although we
received some damage to sheds on our irrigation farm quite good falls of
between 65 and 100 ml were recorded on our properties.
Most of the rain was on the coast and in the south of the state
with the west missing out. We
hope they get good rains soon.
