Fairy Springs Brahman Stud is a family run operation situated at Monto in the North Burnett region of QLD, approximately 200km south-west of Rockhampton (see map) and is owned and operated by Eddie and Debbie Streeter, son Joe, and daughter Sarah. Running around 200 red stud females and a further 200 red high-grade commercial cows, the stud produces approximately 100 red Brahman bulls for sale annually.  The recent purchase of the property "White Kangaroo Station" west of Bowen, North Queensland, saw the acquisition of a further 400 grey Brahman females.  The stud's motto is "Fertile Functional Brahmans", concentrating on using only sires that will breed highly fertile females with longevity and good udder conformation.

"We approach the breeding of our cattle with an open mind and are continually looking for ways to improve the overall quality and efficiency in our herd.  In our breeding objectives, we place primary importance on fertility characteristics, as it is recognised that fertility is more profitable than any other trait.  Pressure is placed on our cows to be consistent breeders, to ensure that the progeny entering the commercial and stud cattle industries from our herd will breed on this reproductive precocity".

Fairy Springs bulls are marketed annually at the Rockhampton Brahman Week and Charters Towers Big Country Sales, as well as private sales from the paddock.  A limited number of females are available for sale each year through the Gympie Female Sale.  Semen for domestic and international use is available privately or through the Beef Breeding Services at Rockhampton.
